Cover School

The Learning Place provides a legal homeschool covering for those parents choosing to homeschool their children. We have changed the name of our cover school to NEW HOPE ACADEMY in order to streamline our homeschooling services. We are a “hands-off” cover school, requiring only the basic enrollment procedures and attendance policies. Please read our forms for more information. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

We accept students on a year-round basis. Your $20 fee is due when you register and then again each August, regardless of when you initially signed on with us.

Instructions: Complete and mail all forms, payment and a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

Make checks payable to NEW HOPE ACADEMY. The administrator will sign the superintendent’s form, forward one copy to your county superintendent, and mail your copy back to you in the self-addressed stamped envelope you provide. KEEP THIS COPY IN A SAFE PLACE!

Cover School Forms

Please download and print the following forms. ELMORE COUNTY residents should print, complete and send the Elmore County form INSTEAD of the Church School Enrollment Form. All other counties complete the Church School Enrollment form.

Your final packet should include:

1. Church School Enrollment Form (or Elmore County for those residents only) One for each child.

2. Family Information Form--one form for entire family

3. Request for Records-- one for each school you are requesting records from.

Don't forget your $20 enrollment fee! This is good for one year, payable each August.

Please send a self-addressed stamped envelope so that we can get your copies back to you in a timely manner.
